Inter-club vets race on Saturday 5 November 2022

Loughton AC looks forward to welcoming our friends from East London Runners, Victoria Park Harriers & Tower Hamlets AC, Vets AC, Ilford AC and Orion Harriers to Roding Valley Recreation Ground for our annual inter-club veterans competition on Saturday 5 November.

Race start is at 11am and the clubhouse will be open from about 10am for changing, toilets and to pick up numbers. £3 contribution requested for each runner. Bring some cash for tea and cakes after the race!

We encourage runners to travel by public transport as the start is a short walk from Loughton tube station. There is a car park at Sainsburys, a small free car park at the bottom of Roding Road and limited parking in residential roads around the recreation ground including Highwood Lane. Please park responsibly.

Course

The course is one short lap over the recreation ground, then over a narrow bridge onto the fields for two longer laps before returning over the bridge to the finish. Parts can get muddy after rain. Total distance approximately 4.8 miles. Course is suitable for spikes and trail shoes: there are some very short sections where the course crosses over tarmac or concrete paths. There are sets of kissing gates to negotiate at two points.
