Loughton Athletic Club run sessions specifically designed to involve children
in athletics.

For girls and boys aged 8 – 11 inclusive

Winter programme

Sessions take place on the all-weather surface next to the tennis courts or on the main field on Tuesdays 7pm to 8pm and we welcome children of all abilities. Sessions are run by qualified England Athletics coaches and include warm-up, drills, a running activity and warm-down. All coaches are DBS checked.

Summer programme

Sessions take place on the all-weather surface or on the grass track in the field beyond the children’s playground (see Training page for map). These sessions are on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8pm. We welcome families and it is common during summer for parents to join the adult training session while their children are taking part in the kids’ training session. Parents will finish their training session in time to collect their children.

Children aged 12 and over train at the same time as the adult groups. See Training for more information.

Sunday Morning (4-14 year olds)
